Which do You Like Best?

After my last post and the comments I received, I decided to take pics of all the different borders I am thinking of for this quilt.  It also does look different to me to see photos rather than just on the floor, better I think.
And I can see them all at once.  Which border idea do you like best?
I know the red is a little daring

there is some blue in the quilt

but a lot more of the turquoise

and the yellow gives a softer look

What do you think?

This is linked to Whoop-Whoop Friday.

  1. It's always amazing to me how the borders change the quilts. Any of your choices would look good. But, for me number 4 softens and blends the colors of the blocks. That said, each one has a look it creates and your mood at the time often is what makes the final decision! (some days I'm really into red for example and some days, not so much!)

  2. I also prefer #4. Beautiful quilt!

  3. Looks like you have a consensus! I like 4 best, too!

  4. 2 or 4 (leaning towards 4!). Beautiful!

  5. Sorry to ruin the consensus, but I like #2. The red border makes the inside pop and the additional red in the outside fabric ties with the red inner border. If the blue outer had had a little red in it, I would have chosen that combination. That said, they're all really nice. NO ONE would say, "too bad about the bordering", no matter what you decide. :)

  6. I like the boldness of #1, but I don't think it quite ties in enough. Nathaniel definitely thinks #4. :-)

  7. I love the red and turquoise. The yellow and turquoise is probably more in keeping with the thirties, but the red gives it a real pop. Great quilt, by the way.

  9. Number 2! number 2! The turquoise and red together are so pretty and makes the other colors pop a bit more!

  10. If you went with the red, #1 looks great. But I still like #4 the best. It is so soothing, It depends on where you are going to use the quilt and what effect you want to have.

  11. I'd say 2 or 4, probably leaning heavier towards 2 because it makes your beautiful blocks bolder! Whoop whoop!!
