My Little Felt Animals

I decided to try making these cute little animals that I found on pinterest for prizes for my daughter's sewing class students.  I have been knitting and crocheting some, but this is a new idea that is rather fun.
Mr. Fox

I did a lot of machine sewing but then handsewed the front to the back.

Karen's Quilt

This is a pretty and bright quilt.  Rather cheerful.

I know it's rather hard to see the quilting.  I did not quilt on the yellow.  I wanted that to pop,so I heavily quilted the white blocks in the yellow and did feathers on the strips.

Waiting For Fall

This is the Magic Vine that I have been working on this winter.  I realized I needed a better fall wall hanging and saw a picture of this design in a magazine and copied it.  It's been pretty simple and rather fun.  It is great to have something like this to do when watching Sunday football games or when we go away for a few days.

Now it's time for the real magic to start when I get it quilted.

Melanie's Lamb

My daughter saw a lamb online that she really liked. It was out of stock and a little pricey, so she asked me if I could knit it for her.  It took some figuring and ripping and doing over but I came up with a version.  It doesn't have as much stomach as the real one, but Melanie likes it.  That's what's important.

The bobbles  for the head were the real challenge, but looking online, I found the ones I wanted to do and they did work rather well.

I used a sport weight yarn and size 2 needles, just like I do on most of my other knitted dolls.  The yarn was from Hobby Lobby, a great place to go for these kind of projects.

Isn't she sweet laying next to her lamb?

It does keep her attention and make her laugh.

My New Bag

I have a couple of pictures of a bag that I made last summer.  A couple of years ago I purchased the fabric for it.  It is a home decor fabric which means the weight of it is a little heavier and perfect for bags.
This is the bag I use to take a project in to the doctor's office, when I go watch my grandson, or when I'm out with my husband and he goes to Home Depot.  I can sit in the car and knit or applique, depending on what I'm carrying in it that day.

It has one large outside pocket and one large inside pocket.  I don't need much organization for this bag and it is working perfectly.

Here is also a couple of pictures of the Dahlia wallhanging in my granddaughters' room.

That is Natalie sitting on the dresser.

Cheryl's Quilt

 This is a baby quilt.

Cheryl really likes swirls.  Some women have their favorites and this is hers.
