June's Quiet Book

My granddaughter June turned 2 this month and she received a quiet book that I made for her.

I copied pictures I found on Pinterest.  There are so many ideas there.  There are some Russian moms that do a really great job with quiet books like this hot air balloon page.

Bumblebees, lady bugs and a watering can that waters the flowers.  The flowers do unbutton and flop down.

Ducks that can fly or swim in the pond.  And wintertime brings snow and a snowman.

Butterflies that change wings.

A vegetable garden to plant or harvest and ice cream cones to make.

Lets put the rings on according to size and save some money in the piggy bank.

Baby Sweaters

In the last couple of weeks, I've been knitting baby sweaters.  This first one is a  test knit a did for a knitter and the sweater worked out well.  There was operator error once in a while, but that worked out also.

I used a drops baby merino yarn on this one.  I knit loose and that is why I used a fingering yarn.  I always have to go smaller a couple sized of needles and using fine yarn really helps with that.  I accidentally knit it longer that it was supposed to be so this 6-9 month size fits this 1 yr old baby just fine.

This is a pattern that I bought from a designer that I've bought several from in the past.  She designs very nice baby items.

I used a knit picks sport cotton yarn on this sweater.

This sweater is a sideways knit, which looks quite attractive.  It is hard to figure out the correct chest measurement of it.  Next time I would add a few rows just to get it a little larger. Right now it is a snug fit.

Isn't Melanie cute in this?

I like the detail on this sweater also.

Magic Vine Quilt

Here is the finish of my Magic Vine Quilt.  My granddaughters are doing a good job of holding this up for pictures.

I really enjoyed this as I love doing applique.  It will be one that I hang on my wall in the fall.

I tried to copy the leaves in the border quilting.

This wall hanging is from some pictures I found in an old magazine.

I've just got to show those granddaughters again.

Sherry's Quilt and Pillow

I quilted straight lines and swirls on the borders.

And then she wanted a pillow out of leftover fabric.
