Clara's Quilt

I was ready to start a new quilt.  I had ripped one out of a magazine that I was throwing away and was considering it.  My granddaughters were over and I thought the quilt looked rather like one for a young girl. I asked the girls if any of them would like it, and Clara immediately answered that she would.  So it will be hers.

It's applique and now the top is all put together.  I do still need to applique the borders.

It was one that was very easy to applique, quick and fun.

Here is a pic with the feet and some more of my girls helping me to lay it out in the order that we wanted it.

Cute Little Llama

He is very cute.  Everyone likes him.  But he did not come hassle free.

He is knit from a free pattern.  He has loops.  And more loops.  They exercise the hand and they take a lot of time.  This is the only time I will do this pattern.  But he is very cuddly.

I had to work a while to keep his head from flopping and to get him to stand up.  But he does that well now.  He may become a birthday present for a granddaughter.

My Fireworks Quilt

This is a finish and my husband really likes it.  So now it is hanging in our bedroom.  I guess, so he can look at it every morning when he wakes up.

There is a mistake in it.  Did you see it?  I didn't notice it until I was quilting it.  By then it was too late to correct.

I bought the pattern from a quilt shop in Wichita, Ks that had one hanging on the wall in this color range.  Otherwise, I would have never bought it.  But I like the colors.

The pattern instructions waste a lot of fabric, but there are instructions from others online how to do it without so much waste.

Except for the white, this is a stashbuster.  Although it never seems like my stash gets busted.

Janet's Crib Quilt

It's a modern quilt and she wanted an overall.  It seemed to me that a stipple is best for these/
