3 Little Animals

We needed more prizes.  Those sewing students of my daughter's are doing really well.  And I'm the supplier of the prizes.
This is Fester the goat.

He is knitted. Knitting is much easier on the hands than crocheting and so I do prefer it.  It's just harder to find cute smaller animal patterns in knit.

 This is a little duck.

I couldn't get him to stand up properly on his legs.  He would even look good without them.

I ran out of the gray, so he has more white than most mice.  I don't think the girls will notice.
I made a knitted I-cord tail.  The crochet one was too difficult for me.

Carol's Quilt

She used vintage or vintage reproductions on this quilt.  It's nice, soft and simple. Nine patches are always nice.

Since the fabric has a lot of flowers, I did flowers all over ther quilt.

Jordan and Bonnie's Wedding Quilt

I just finished binding this quilt yesterday.  I had the manpower last evening to hold it up for pictures in the evening light and took some pictures.
This is a king sized  quilt.  It is worked on a light tan tone-on-tone fabric.

I love doing wholecloth quilts. I think I enjoy the designing the most.  And the quilting.  This has trapunto so there is a lot of cutting also.

Bonnie looked through my pinterest board and found ideas that she liked.  I took her ideas and recreated it into this quilt.

I used a silk batting in the quilt.  I love how the silk batting quilts feel when they are done.

It was getting a little heavy for the men to keep holding so high as I was snapping pictures, so here it goes.

Love Entwined Part 11

I have completed the next section of Love Entwined.  This is an applique project that is easy to take with me on vacation while sitting relaxing and also for enjoying on my wonderful porch in the nice summer weather when I want to sit outside.  It does take diligence though, continually sewing it bit by bit.

My method is needle turn.  I use freezer paper to cut out the pieces and then turn them under as I sew.  I don't think I have the patience for pressing each one under before I sew.

I really can't wait to see the result of the whole quilt when I'm done.

A Lacy Cardigan

This was a cute pattern that I found by way of Pinterest and then purchased off of Etsy.
It is called the Cove Cardigan.
I really like the lace edging on the front

And the three quarter length sleeves.  I am a fan of that length of sleeve.

I finished knitting this a couple of months ago and finally got the buttons on.  And now I forgot what kind of yarn I used.  I think it's a Debbie Bliss Cashmerino.  Maybe I'll just have to go with that.
I knitted it a size 8 and it looks very nice on Daisy.

Vicki's Quilt

Sometimes I just look at pantographs and copy their design ideas to make my overall designs. This has lots of curves for this femine quilt. I like the colors.

Turtle Baby Quilt

This is a new quilt I've just started.  I took the idea from a couple of pictures and put them together to make the background for this Hawaiian style baby quilt.  Right now it's just pinned down, but I will fuse it and the stitching will be with the quilting.

This shows the border fabric that I probably will be using.
