Victoria's New Hat

Victoria bought some lovely new yarn that she wanted to make a hat with.  She does know how to knit and can knit some very nice things, like baby hats.  But she asked me to make her hat.  It is a lacey pattern and she figured she wouldn't finish it very soon if she started it.  So here it is.

The pattern is called Everglade.  The yarn is a merino/rayon blend.  It has a sheen and is very soft.

I made up my own flower from 2 different flower patterns.  It was all a mistake on another hat that I knitted.  I liked the result that I did it again.  The first flower was a small flower so it was the center to a larger flower.  It is a little difficult because you make a lot of increases really quickly.

My granddaughter is becoming quite a knitter also.  She can knit a large blanket in about 5 minutes.
There she is hard at work.
