My Fall Harvest Basket Quilt

I know it's past fall now, but this lovely wallhanging is completed and ready for next fall.  This one had it's pitfalls in the piecing stage as you can very well see.  Quilting really helped it out and it will look lovely on a wall.

You can see the magazine I  got the pattern out of here.

The applique was a lot of fun.  So was the quilting.

Piecing is not my forte. So you're not getting a closeup of the  X's.  Also the diamonds are lacking.
But it's for me.  I'd rather enjoy the process than be too frustrated.  Although I am into learning, practicing and getting better.

  2. This is really pretty! There are so many lovely details to look at! I agree- definitely enjoy the project rather than worry too much about perfection.

Thanks so much for sharing at Needle and Thread Thursday!

  3. So beautiful. I like the grapes best. I haven yet to try my hand at these types of quilts. They always turn out so nice, like art on a wall.
