It's squared, the bindings on, washed and looks pretty good. This quilt has a silk batting. That makes it almost feel light as a feather. I really like silk.
I tried to take a picture out of an upstairs window. The quilt was so white it wouldn't focus on it. So there went my great idea of a picture.
You'll have to click on this picture and hopefully you'll see a better view of the center of the quilt.
The wedding is this Saturday, so I have it done just in time. Sometimes I run a little late. The couple has seen it, so I may just give it to them before the wedding.
That is just breathtaking! Please don`t present it before the wedding, others attending need to see it! It`s absolutely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. What an heirloom. I'm sure the new couple will cherish this quilt. I know I would.
ReplyDeleteI've never used silk batting. What Brand did you use (and/or any insights on where one buys it). I'd love to play with some silk batting to check it out.
