Carolyn's 60's Quilt

This is a quilt that Carolyn bought at a sale for $17.  The backing was pretty ripped up and it was a tied  quilt.  She took the ties out and got a new backing for it.  I quilted and bound it for her.  Doesn't it look nice?

I remember these kinds of fabrics.  I really liked them back then.

  1. That is so pretty, I think she got a deal, because now she has a truly wonderful quilt.

  2. Wow! What a cool project! I don't know that I would have thought of doing that, but it's a GREAT idea. The quilting looks wonderful, too. So much better than tying!

  3. That's pretty intense but what a deal! Great call with the new back and quilting. I'm really not a fan of tied quilts.
