Potholders To Go

I am taking a special trip later on this summer with my daughters.  I will be seeing friends I haven't seen for many years.  One gift I thought I'd take them were some potholders that I make.  They travel easily and would be my special touch. (?)
This first pair are my rejects.  They are now in my kitchen drawer.  When doing bias binding, the bias must be on the 45 degree angle or it's not enough stretch.  I tried to skimp here as my fabric was not very wide.  You can see the curve I got.

I got the idea for a leaf from a potholder I pinned.

This lemon one I did properly and it turned out flat.

I had leftover apple fabric from a quilt I had done many years ago, and was able to incorporate it nicely into this apple.

This is linked to Linky Tuesday.

  1. I like the apple one best! It's kind of vintage looking.

I love potholders and make a lot of them as Christmas gifts. Everyone looks forward to the weird fabrics, etc I use.
