Love Entwined Part 11

I have completed the next section of Love Entwined.  This is an applique project that is easy to take with me on vacation while sitting relaxing and also for enjoying on my wonderful porch in the nice summer weather when I want to sit outside.  It does take diligence though, continually sewing it bit by bit.

My method is needle turn.  I use freezer paper to cut out the pieces and then turn them under as I sew.  I don't think I have the patience for pressing each one under before I sew.

I really can't wait to see the result of the whole quilt when I'm done.

A Lacy Cardigan

This was a cute pattern that I found by way of Pinterest and then purchased off of Etsy.
It is called the Cove Cardigan.
I really like the lace edging on the front

And the three quarter length sleeves.  I am a fan of that length of sleeve.

I finished knitting this a couple of months ago and finally got the buttons on.  And now I forgot what kind of yarn I used.  I think it's a Debbie Bliss Cashmerino.  Maybe I'll just have to go with that.
I knitted it a size 8 and it looks very nice on Daisy.

Vicki's Quilt

Sometimes I just look at pantographs and copy their design ideas to make my overall designs. This has lots of curves for this femine quilt. I like the colors.

Turtle Baby Quilt

This is a new quilt I've just started.  I took the idea from a couple of pictures and put them together to make the background for this Hawaiian style baby quilt.  Right now it's just pinned down, but I will fuse it and the stitching will be with the quilting.

This shows the border fabric that I probably will be using.

Tulips on Gingham

As you can see, my last post on this was in April when I started the project.  The applique is completed and has been completed for a little while and I have added the borders.

I decided I wanted curves instead of points on my quilt.

I like the look of it all with the colors.

I do still have issues with the corners as they don't match.  I should have made sure of things when I got to that point, but I didn't center everything perfectly. Now I will have to do some adjustments on the corners.  Then it goes to the quilting machine.

Quilting or Upholstery?

Lately I've been working on an upholstery job.  It's redoing our patio dining chairs.  The old ones were getting pretty ripped.  Not to nice looking, are they?  Who would want guests to sit on these?

So I bought some fabric and am redoing them.  I have a friend and a daughter that help me through the process. Half of them are totally done.  I just need to finish stuffing the cushions to have them all completed.

I think I will stick to quilting.  Upholstery is not my bag. But it is nice to have good looking chairs to sit upon.

This Year's Wedding Quilt

Jordan and Bonnie did get married and are even back from their honeymoon.  Their quilt is still in the process though.  I figure it's a lifelong gift, so it doesn't really matter if it wasn't ready by their wedding.
It is now on the frame getting quilted.  It is so much fun to quilt.  Here's a pic.

Or  two.  It's more of a tan than this color shows.  Not so yellow.  The blue is my washable pen which will be gone when I give it to them.
