Here it is. I started it in July of 2013. It's been a wonderful project these 3 1/2 years.
My 6 year old granddaughter calls it the " Forever" quilt. She always is interested in whatever project I'm doing and I know she has been with it from the beginning. Even though she was 2 1/2 when I started it. She was there when I put the last stitch in the binding and was excited about the finish.

We have a waterbed. That means the mattress is in a wooden box. This quilt fits the top of the bed very nicely, since it doesn't have to go down the sides. It is a marriage coverlet, after all.

ReplyDeletesigh . . . I love it . . . I collected all the patterns but was not able to decide on the colours for the center compass. You have gone the distance and quilted it too!!!!

ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful! I'm surprised it only took 3 1/2 years! I've saved the pattern but I don't know if I'll ever have the courage to start her.
ReplyDeletecongratulations on your finished LE it will be the forever beautiful quilt from now on :)
ReplyDeleteOHHHHHH MYYYYYY that is awesome, it would take me 30 years to complete that quilt, so 3/12 sounds very fast to me.
ReplyDeleteI remember when you started it. It is breath taking!

Your colors are so warm and bright. I love the plaid in the pieced part. But I truly admire your dedication to the finish! What an accomplishment. time4stitchn@gmail.com
