My First Grandson

May I introduce you to Asher David.  He was born May 5 and was 5 lbs 13 oz.

We knew beforehand that he would need surgery when he was born and we are prepared for that.  He is doing well in coming to the correct levels to prepare for that surgery.  His hernia is up in his chest and is crowding his lungs and heart to where they aren't growing properly.  We are thankful for the experienced team of doctors and nurses that work with him everyday.

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.
They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

                                                               Psalm 36:5-8

Here are some little baby items I've been knitting. Some are for him and some for my future grandchildren.
If you click on each statement about the item, you will go to the Ravelry link.

Asher is wearing those I knitted for him.

These are diaper covers that he or some other grandchildren can wear this summer when they don't need much on. It looks better than a diaper.

  1. Cute things for a darling boy! I would love to see you make him a real mariner's outfit for the sea! That would be adorable!

  2. What a sweetie and what lovely knitted things he has. <3

  3. Aw congratulations on your new grandson, I'm sure he'll be super cosy and feeling very loved with his knitwear :)

  4. Oh! May God be with this little one, and bring complete healing! He's darling. What a lot of lovely things you have made!!! so glad for new life!

  5. Congratulations on your new grandson. Prayers for him, your family and the healthcare professionals taking care of him. I am sure he feels all the love from your knits.
