Love Entwined Part 12

The next section is complete and here it is.

It has been summer so I had a lot of porch time and vacation time to work on it.

My granddaughter asked me how long I was going to work on this quilt.  I told her forever.

I do believe I see it getting done though.

New Scarf Knit

This is a scarf I pinned on pinterest.  Some people knit things and photo them so nicely it make me want to knit it.
Here is my version.

I used a Knit Picks fingering yarn, Palette.  It was something I had on hand.  I'm  trying right now to use up all my yarn that's laying around before I buy more.

I repeated the pattern one more time than it called for.  I wanted my scarf a little bit wider.
Here is my ravelry link.

Table Decor for Fall

When decorating a table for fall, you start with a tablerunner.

This is one that  I pinned on pinterest.  I just  used my own fabric and made it the size I wanted.  It is pretty basic and was very easy to put together.

Once it's on the table, then you can add your fall centerpiece to it.

Carolyn's Quilt

This was a very enjoyable quilt to quilt.  Carolyn wanted cherries and leaves.

Adding to the Zoo

Adding to my menagerie, I have Clara the Bear.  She is from a pin that didn't come with instructions, so I figured her out.

She has a cute flower in her hair.

Eloise is helping to hold her up.  She doesn't stand well on her legs.
\
This is Sophie Snail.

She does come with a free pattern.  Just make sure you have a translator on your computer.

This little deer looks like he needs to eat more.  Maybe he's newborn.  His legs are wobbly.

And my little blue giraffe.  I crochet all my animals with sport yarn to keep them a little smaller.

I think he is especially cute.  Ravelry Link

Tulips on Gingham

Here are some pictures of my latest finished quilt.

The tulips aren't really on gingham.  That was the title in the magazine, but my fabric could almost look like gingham.

I really enjoy doing applique, and this quilt was just that.  Very enjoyable.

Because of the markings I had on the fabric, the quilt has been washed to remove them.  That is what gives it this look.

The flowers and the leaves are all from my scrap stash.  Of course, it didn't make a dent.  My stash always seems larger after I take fabrics out of it.

Frosty the Snowman and Friends

Wall hanging or tablerunner?  It is mighty cute.

There is lots of hand stitched embroidery in this one.  Tiny beads also that I had to watch out for.

A New Beginning

This is the start of a new baby quilt.  It is sky.

You will have to keep checking back to see how it comes along.

Here Come the Turtles

I made this quilt for a part Hawaiian baby.  He's actually 1/2 Hawaiian, 1/4 New Zealand, 1/4 English and All American.  Quite a heritage for this baby.

His grandma gave me the border fabric, so that was my start.  Mom liked the idea of turtles so that was my continuation.
This quilt is all raw edge applique.  I did no sewing until quilting time except for the flange and border.

I got ideas from the internet and turtle quilts and drawings.

I think one day Marcus may see a real turtle in Hawaii.

Dorothy's Quilt

This is very soft and pretty.

The challenge here was doing the cables.  I had one cable board.  It wasn't long enough to go across the whole quilt, so I traced it onto wax paper and made a template that I used to draw on the quilt with a purple air eraseble pen.  That worked great and Dorothy loved it.

Sharon's Quilt

You can tell by the weather here that fall is coming.  We've had a beautiful summer, hottest we've had in many years.  Now the rain has come and it is very welcome.  In fact Saturday we had wind and a tree fell down.  I actually saw it happen.

We are very thankful that it fell that direction and not on the garage and car.  It is a maple that was rotted in the center.  Probably a good reason it fell.

We got lots of help that same day to start chopping it up.

Sharon brought me this quilt.  It is a fall quilt.

There are many cute animals on it.  I quilted swirls but did the pumpkins with pumpkin lines and the animals with other swirls.
