Knitting and Maui sunsets

When in my room or at the pool I was knitting. I'm knitting a toddler smocked sweater using a Debbie Bliss pattern that I've used quite a bit in the past.
 Here's the pool.

 Here's my knitting.
At our room

 At the pool.

A close-up of the smocking.  I'm using an acrylic yarn on this sweater as the person I'm knitting for wanted this yarn liking the color more than the type of yarn.  It is heavier than the cotton I normally use.  It's amazing how the feel can be so different.

More beach pictures.  My husband and I with our chairs hiking to our sandy spot on Makena Beach.  It's the only beach we really go to.  We like it so much.

 Some sunsets on Makena Beach.

This is one of the pillboxes put on the Hawaiian beaches during WWII.

A sunset at Kamaole 1.

  1. It looks like you had a fabulous time. Thanks for sharing the great pictues. Is Makena beach also called Big Beach? We have been to that beach and I thought it was the most beautiful beach ever. Your knitting is so wonderful too. You're so talented.

  5. Wow! Beautiful sunset photos. And it was good to see what you look like. As you can see, I've gone back to March in order to catch up with all your posts. I bet Hawaii seems like a long time ago?
