Isn't she cute?

Eloise is wearing the clothes I made her -sweater, hat, booties.  They are still a little big for her, but she is growing.  She is one ounce under 5 pounds.  So soon she'll fit a newborn size just fine.

She even has her eyes open.

She was one month old yesterday.

Fall Decorating

It is such a lovely season.  Time has changed and the days keep getting shorter.  I enjoy it for a while. I love the colors and smell of autumn.  It's fun in the house to put some decor up.

On the piano
I moved the piano decor to try on my table.

Underneath the leaves and candle is my latest tablerunner.  It is made from my favorite French fabric.  I've hesitated  to use it not knowing exactly how to use it.  I have quite  a bit of it.  I made my knitting needle case  with some of it.  And now this tablerunner.

Have a great day!

Leaves, Leaves, Leaves

This is a movie I made with my children 17 years ago.  It's not the best of quality, but it is fun.  I hope you like it also.  Autumn is one of the loveliest times of the year and  great fun for children.

Joan Scamman and Molly Ellen Krawczyk wrote the music for this.

Carol's Heartstring Quilt

This one is bold and bright.

Looking at the fabrics, it just seemed to need a flower in each square to match flowers in the fabrics.

Fall is the Time for Sweaters

It's great to get some sweaters knitted for the colder weather.  We had a photo shoot with this one that I just finished.

Eric was enjoying himself immensely.

This was an easy sweater to knit and I liked the fact that the pattern changed to make the checkerboard look.

And the leaves are fun to play with also.

I knitted this with an acrylic yarn, using some of my leftover stash, but it would look great in a cotton also.
You can check out the details on Ravelry.

This next sweater I knitted back in the early spring.  I just didn't have anyone model it for me til now.  I guess when Eric showed up, Evelyn wanted to get in the show also.

It's a very soft alpaca yarn.

I know the sweater looks the same in each of these pictures.  But Evelyn does make great faces and so she makes the sweater. (Grandmas, remember this).

The details of this one can also be seen on Ravelry.

My Newest Baby Quilt

I've been working on this quilt quite a bit last week. It's coming together nicely.

It does take a little bit of work to put a large on point square into the middle of a straight quilt.  But it did work.

Now I'm trying to audition fabrics for the border.  I don't like the looks of any of them in the quilt, so I'll take the quilt to the fabric store and try some out.  I hope I find one.

This quilt is not for Eloise. I'll make her one to match the bumpers the girls are making for her.

Eloise did come to visit us.

Isn't she nice?

My Quilt Festival Entry

I would like to share this quilt that I made for a wedding gift for friends of mine.  It is a king size applique and trapunto.

This quilt is a good combination of those things I love working with most.  Applique  quilts are always the ones that catch my eye. Wholecloth quilts do the same thing.

The bride I was giving this to came and looked through all my books and she found one in a Karen McTavish book that we revised  and  made it exactly like she wanted.   The plum color also is so delicious to me.

I will put the label on it tomorrow and call up that bride and groom and give it to them. It is a little late, but I'm sure they'll love it.

Check out Amy's Blog for the Quilt Festival and view all  the beautiful quilts.
