Victoria's Nursery Items
My daughter is having her first child in a couple of months. So I am helping her with her decor by knitting. This cute elephant is sitting on a shelf in her nursery. He was pretty fun to knit up and is very soft and cuddly.
He even has a little tail.
And here is Mr. Fox. I used the pattern from Little Cotton Rabbits. But I used worsted weight yarn which makes him a little larger.
I revised the pattern for the short pants and added straps.
Wouldn't you like these for your nursery?

What I'm Working On - Applique
These are pics of ongoing projects that I've been doing over the last several months. That means that I don't work on them a lot but they have been great for the summer. The smaller one especially is easy to take with me or sit out on the porch with as I work on it.
These are both Hawaiian projects. This is the border of the smaller one.
This one is a king size quilt for my bed. I have the center finished and am just working on the outside edges. This project is large as it is one piece and I only do it on the weekends. It's a great one for watching golf or football on the TV.
My method of basting is pinning with safety pins. No pokes there.

Dragonflies and Daisies
This is a baby quilt that I copied from a magazine that is years old. I am trying to just use my stash and this worked for that. I started with the border fabric and picked the rest from there.
Daisies in the border and so there had to be daisies in the quilt.
The dragonflies add a nice touch. It is all fused applique.

Crocheted Animals
These are all future prizes for some little children. It seems that they are a hit.
All of these, except for the mouse in the leaf come from a website with free patterns called Amigurumi Today. Most are not listed on Ravelry.
Timmy the Dog
This is a dog cupcake. It mixes the best of both worlds - pets and sweet treats.
All of these are crocheted with sport weight yarn. It keeps them a little smaller which I like.
This little mouse is from a different website but is also a free pattern.
He is very tiny and very fast to crochet up.
Watermelon Turtles. Mom and baby.
Cuddle Me Panda
Cuddle Me Lion
Cuddle Me Elephant
Hopefully these will last a little while before I need to make more.
