A Family of Ducks

My son was looking at the baby quilts that I pinned on Pinterest and sent me the one that he liked.  So I'm making it now with some changes.  It was this pin.  And the tutorial is here.  I couldn't find the link to buy the pattern, but I figured it was an easy one to draw on my own.
I cut all the pieces after drawing the ducks on paper.  They are 3 dimensional, so every piece is double-sided with batting in between.

Now they are sewn to the water.  It is Daddy, Mama, Eloise, Juliet and baby Clara.

There are the babies all lined up in a row with the borders on.

 Now it's time to quilt.

We had a painting party Saturday for my playhouse.  It looks so nice painted.

  1. Very cute ducks. I had many happy hours in a play house when I was a child. A woman who baby sat me had one in her back yard for her now older daughter. I suppose I might have liked it more because I didn't have it all the time; but it sure did make me like to go to the babysitter's.

  2. What a lovely quilt - so cute to have the parts '3D' - a great idea!

  3. Hi Elaine what a cute wee quilt and such a sweet idea that the bodies are 3D some body will love this wee quilt. many thanks for the tutorial as it has given me other ideas too. Love love the dolls house. Cheers Glenda

  4. The ducks are so cute! Love them :)
