Applique for Love Entwined

I put away Joe and Sarah's quilt for a while because it was getting to large for an invalid to handle.  It will have to wait.  So I am now pursuing the continuation of Love Entwined by Esther Aliu.  It looks like it will be a lovely quilt with lots of detail.   I am going with the colors of turquoise and peach.  This is what I have done so far.

 I am not going for perfection.  I want to enjoy it without too much stress.  That's what I figure a hobby can be.  Although I do want to keep improving.  

The center is mostly paper pieced.  I machine zig-zagged the stems since they are so narrow.  The rest is all needleturn applique.
