Some Progress on the Clothing Quilts.

I had 5 yards of fabric which was backing for one of the 3 quilts and borders and sashing for all.  The store didn't have enough fabric for all the backings also, so I got something different for 2 of the backings.
So I cut the backing first and then cut all the long borders and long sashings before I cut the smaller ones.  I did have about a half a yard left over when all was done. It's always a challenge to make sure everything works out fine.

And here is a small sample of 3 of the blocks all trimmed up ready to go.  I did get most of them sewn together yesterday, so today I'll trim and lay them out.  These quilts are going faster than I imagined.

Juliet is at the place of almost sitting up by herself.  Isn't she cute in this chair?

  1. How many blocks do you use to make this quilt? It looks like it would go together fast for a x-mas gift.
I like the material you picked for it they all blend nicely.

  2. I love it when quilts just come together like this, its so satisfying to have one well on the way to being finished soon after starting it. The fabrics look great...and what a cutie in the chair :)
