The girls like animals for prizes. I didn't know I'd have such a hit with these hippos. My schoolteacher daughter took the big one to school and it was gone within half an hour.
The smaller one is for my other daughter who gives sewing classes. Some of them had also seen the big one and wanted that size. I guess he's more cuddly.
One think nice about making these prizes is that I get to use up old yarn that I don't like.
So I made another large one. As you can see, I forgot to add the pink to his nose. I'll have to get that done before he's gone. It does make a difference for his cuteness.
The hippos are gorgeous.
