Here it is all done.
It was a lot of little cutting and then backing all the pieces with interfacing. It did turn out pretty cute. I just quilted the sashing and borders, so the squares pop out.
She wanted her daughters' names embroidered on it. Here's one of them.
I love this quilt. I would love to make one from my grandson's baby clothes.
ReplyDeleteTurned out very nice.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a lovely idea and you did a beautiful job on it!
ReplyDeleteOh, that turned out so very sweet! I love the effect - definitely worth all the work with having to back everything.
ReplyDeleteThat is so adorable! I love the idea and it looks so cute with all those fun elements :)

ReplyDelete(Ugh - I had issues with the comment verification too. So annoying!)
I am the Mommy who ordered this. It is BEAUTIFUL. This is such a special family heirloom and the pieces bring to mind so many memories of the girls' babyhood. Thank you a million times, this is even more lovely than I'd imagined it. Quality work.
ReplyDeleteThis is SO beautiful! A friend asked me to make something similar and I love how you sashed these and used the columns of fabric between the "print" blocks. Love it!
