I just completed the quilt for my son Joe and his bride Sarah. They married this summer but sometimes it takes a while to get the present completed.
Some of these pictures were taken inside and some outside. Hence, the different coloring.
Here is a link to the first post I did on this quilt a few months back.
And another link to the next post I did on this quilt.
These trapunto vines do not show up as well as I would have liked. I decided for thin trapunto the quilting should be much finer. Echo quilting doesn't do.
I'm glad I got the pictures when there was snow. This quilt goes well with snow.
This quilt had many problems while I was quilting it. I didn't
stabilize it properly and did the center point before the sides. Oh how
that made me nervous. But when I took it off the quilt looked great.
What a relief.
Your quilt is simply drop-dead-GORGEOUS!! Beautifully understated and timeless. I'm sure they will treasure it always.
