Yesterday, I actually started drawing my design on the quilt. It is really quite fun to put it on perfectly.
With my blue markers I can always wash it off if I need to, but that does slow the timing down as it has to dry first before I put more on.
I divided my cloth into eights to make it easy to put this design element on each portion. I traced it from my paper pattern.
Then I folded the fabric in half to make it easier to work
and started drawing arcs for feathers. I am using an oval casserole dish for perfect arcs. I completed 1/4 of these arcs so onward ho! for today.
Ha! I love to use kitchen tools in the sewing room. Will there be any piecing? or just a solid color fabric?
ReplyDeleteoh this is going to be lovely!
ReplyDeleteGood for you Elaine !! The design is very pretty I've just never had the courage to do a whole cloth. Can't wait to see how it comes out.
