We had a customer come into the shop and brought a damask tablecloths and 8 napkins. She said she wanted a king size quilt and a twin quilt from them. And my daughters said they would go for it. She hasn't seen it at all or the design. She wanted to see nothing until it was all done. So today we call her and hopefully she'll like them. That is always the nervous part.
These first six shots were taken when it was laying on my dining room table - inside shots. I like how it captured the sheen.
I quilted following the design of the damask. That made the designs themselves pop out.
And then added feathers to the empty spaces.
My daughters bought some satin fabric and overlaid it with lace. This is what we used for the sashing and borders. The lace was so busy, that I just stippled it.
These shots were all taken outside in the evening.
