I was so excited, I am starting a new one, only much smaller. I want to practice diagonals, do new fills, and get my heirloom feathers better.

Grace's quilt
Here's Grace's quilt on the floor after washing getting blocked. I think she's going to like it. The pattern is a variation of a quilt by Kathy Slater that was published in Karen McTavish's book Whitework Quilting. I really enjoyed quilting it, but need a lot more practice. I showed it to the women at Bayside Quilting and got some tips for the next one.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdgbtBq_u_WZ62pKsH0SanDFg5RsNqbpO_HvcH0m67t-4q_oIp1mzFfk2q01CSiLHf9btway0p0snTdDKfknbubiwx9Ws_LfehFk4MlGq4jSgraMDb3W74a4rn9aaGiS18S8hCwno6oBI/s400/DSC_0947.JPG)
