Dear Jane Continues

These are the 4th,5th, and 6th blocks in rows D, E, F.  After doing these blocks for a while, I think I'm getting the hang of paper piecing.

Some of my favorites in this set.

Now attached to the first 3 blocks of those rows.

My Little Rug

I sit in a rocking chair a lot with bare feet.  I don't like wearing shoes.  But my barefeet get dirty throughout the day and the rug in our room was getting dirty right in front of my chair.  So I crocheted a little rug to put there.

It works very nicely and I can just throw it into the washing machine when I need to.

It is a free pattern that I found online.  I just used acrylic yarns for the rug and they are working just fine.

It seems to be a great idea to solve a little problem.

Teal Bird Baby Quilt

This is a baby quilt that I started a couple months ago.  I am copying a picture from a magazine that I had with some changes.  I don't know who it's for yet, so I won't complete it until a baby is born that I want to give it to.  I think I'll give it to a girl.

The center came together quickly especially as it had a pattern. The applique border was the big difference from the picture.  I came up with my own idea for that looking at many borders online.

Becasue of the red in some of the squares, I decided to use a little red in the border.

When I know who it's for, I will have a name embroidered onto the quilt.

Susan's Quilts

I quilted 3 small quilts for Susan.  They are all very pretty. I think she likes batiks.
This first one I did twirls on it.

The last 2 I did stipple all over.

Some Knit Baby Finishes

These are some of my knitting projects that I finished a while back.
I gave this little outfit to a baby born this summer.  Notice how small the waist is.

I ripped some of the bottoms out and made an opening with a button.  I believe it worked fine after that.
Ravelry link  At the links you can see what yarns I used, where the pattern came from and any other comments I have

I saw a picture of a sweater like this and used one of my sirdar patterns as a base and copied the pic.  I think it turned out very well.

A cute newborn hat.  It is very easy to knit.
Ravelry link.  Oops! Oops!  I must not have put this one in ravelry.  I'll have to look it up and do that.

And baby booties.  Some baby will get these.

Pat's Quilt

This was a quilt that Pat pieced and appliqued.  It seems to have a star theme.

I did each block individually to have it's own look.
