Meet Me at the Manor

I noticed as I looked back on posts that I started this quilt in July of 2018.  That's been a long time.  I usually work on 3 or 4 quilts, small and large at the same time.  That means there is only one afternoon a week that I am really working on each quilt.  Therefore, it takes a while.

So this is the finished quilt.

I just did an overall quilting pattern on this as it seemed that something more custom just didn't look right to me.

This again is all scraps.  I've just got to use up all my stash fabric.

A Few Knitted Things

Sometimes I can't get pics of items I knit on the babies or children because I give them away and they may have to grow into them.  Some of these are that kind.  These are all on my Ravelry page.

I knitted this for a great niece.  It is a cardigan that is very cute but hard to see the design here

This is for another great niece.  Maybe she can wear it this summer.

This baby is going to have to grow a while to get into this little dress.  I can't wait to see it on her. Then I'll really know if I like this pattern.

I knitted this one for my granddaughter.  It is a pattern that I made for her older sister and I like it very much.

Oaks with Acorns

This is a quilt that I actually finished the day before Thanksgiving.  Then I hung it on the wall for that day and a week or so afterwards. I like Hawaiian  quilts and I wanted to do a fall quilt in the same manner.  

I couldn't fold and cut on this one as all the leaves are twirling in the same direction.  So it took a little more work to get it straight.  I copied the design from a drawing I had pinned on Pinterest.

This is all hand appliqued but then machine quilted.

Little Toys

This is a whole slew of toys that I have knitted and crocheted over the last few months.  

 The first two are prizes that I sent to new great nieces of mine.  They are from Little Cotton Rabbits, a favorite site that I buy patterns from.

A granddaughter wanted a purple angel.  So I made it for her.

Here she is.

This is a Jean Greenhowe pattern.  It's called a topsy-turvey doll.  This is for my oldest granddaughter.  My grandchildren love going through my books and telling me what they want me to knit.

Now some prizes for my teaching daughters.

Some grandchildren claimed these before I could give them to the teachers.

My newest grandson wanted a lion.  It's amazing how a week old baby can have opinions.

I won't give this away yet.  I want to use the lion and this pig for basic patterns for more animals that I crochet.

Wesley's Quilt

Looking back I realized I hadn't posted this quilt that I made for Wesley, who is now 7 months old. They do grow quickly.  This quilt was a fast put together as it is just simple squares.

More New Knits to End the Year

Meet Asher.  He is 3 1/2 years old and a real twinkler.  This is a nice boyish hoody that I knitted for him.  I used different washable wools.

It was a very easy knit with nice colors

This is Gideon.  He'll be 2 this coming month.

This sweater had a little bit of a challenge with the bottom band.  

The pattern is from OGE which has many cute baby patterns.

This is June who is also 3 1/2.  She has a very cute sweater with some texture to it.  It makes for not boring knitting.

It has a nice cable weave in it on the shoulders.

This is Melanie who is 2. She is totally girl who likes to wear dresses.

And this is Gideon's Mom.  I knitted her a vest.  It looks pretty nice for an adult sweater.

Clara's Quilt

I was going through old quilting magazines and tearing out the quilts that I like and then throwing the magazines away. We get so many ideas these days through pinterest, that I don't feel like I need to keep old magazines that I never look at.

I came across one that I liked and ripped it out.  A couple of my granddaughters were over and the younger one liked the quilt a lot, so I made it for her.  Here it is.

I think it may be called Ohio Rose, but I don't remember for sure.

I bought the white fabric and used scraps for everything else.

For the backside, I had a piece of fabric that I hated to cut up because the print is so nice.  This was a perfect opportunity to use it and it goes so nicely with the quilt.
