Before and After

This is a quilt that my daughters and I are making for a customer.  She brought in a damask tablecloth and 8 napkins that she wanted put together for 2 quilts - one twin and one queen size.
Veronica put silky fabric and lace in between  6 of the napkins to make the  twin sized quilt and then I quilted it.

The quilting surely enhances the design on the napkins.

Juliet gave me a smile this morning.

  1. I love the quilts of damask. I made some pillows from a perfect shad of damask about 10 years ago--but it was already vintage, and they fell apart. The damask is so much fun to quilt I've often wanted to find a tablecloth in good enough condition to make a quilt. I love all the scroll-like designs.

  2. Whoa - I really love the effect of quilting on the damask napkins - very nice! Can't wait to see the end results.
